I'm a recent graduate from the Interactive Design Program at Capilano University, where I learned about web design, development, and user experience. Currently, I work for LiFT Studios—an interaction design boutique in Vancouver,BC—as a User Experience Designer & Developer.
The bulk of what I do is information architecture and interaction design. In short, this means I figure out how to organize information on websites and then design systems that allow people to find that information. It's a challenge, because every site and every app has a different audience and is useful in a different context. I talk to users to find out where the problems are, and then design systems that turn their needs into delightful experiences.
I think technology should help people. It should enrich their lives, not get in their way. I'd love to work with you to build products and services that make people's lives better: whether that means saving them time, making something that was tedious more fun, or creating something brand new that people just can't live without.
